Abstract
Abstract
One of the essential issues in the contemporary era is the special attention paid to facilitating the marriage of young people, especially girls, and expressing the Holy Quran’s perspective on this matter. In the final phrase of verse 33 of Surah An-Nur, it is forbidden to force “girls” into prostitution: “And do not compel your girls to prostitution.” Commentators have generally considered the meaning of “girls” in this verse to be slave girls, who were forced into prostitution by their owners in the era of revelation in order to earn money. However, in this article, by describing and analyzing the words of the verse and citing the context, the meaning of the aforementioned phrase, and the refinement of the patterns, it has been concluded that the purpose of the aforementioned noble verse is to facilitate and create suitable conditions for the timely marriage of girls, so that by satisfying their sexual needs through marriage and preserving their chastity and innocence, the grounds for sexual abuse and deviation against them are eliminated. To achieve this purpose, firstly, parents, secondly, all believers in the Islamic society, and thirdly, cultural, legislative, and executive institutions in the religious government, even economic activists who believe in the Holy Quran, are responsible.
