Abstract
One of the most important methods of utterance and getting the meaning across is questioning and answering. In holy Quran, there are many verses which are posed as a question. The questions existed in Quran are sometimes issued by God or prophets, angels, people, satan and … and their addressees are individuals or special groups or people in general.
Interrogation to different subjects has some divisions including: on the basis of the intention, proportion, kind and meaning. Each division is discussed but what has been mostly attended in this research is meaningwise which is divided into two divisions of real and figurative.
The real question is when the questioner doesn’t have any information about a subject and he seeks knowledge; therefore, this type of question is impossible by all-knowing God. Sometimes questioning is not for gaining information but it is for some other goals like reprimand, belittlement, denying, ridicule, and surprise which are called figurative question.
We should pay attention to this point that for discovering figurative and real meanings of questions, besides characteristics of question particles, rhetorical and literary enthusiasm contribute; therefore, meanings and interpretations which Shiite and Sunni interpreters have presented about verses of Quran, have some similarities and differences in some cases and in some others, interpreters haven’t mentioned anything about the questions.
In this research, some of the present questions in two chapters Baqarah and Al-e-Emran are said precisely in the form of their differences, similarities and specialties from Allameh Tabatabaee’s (Shiite interpreter) and Zamakhshari’s(Sunni interpreter) point of view; therefore, the difference in their views is being clarified.
