The epistemic realm of the science of jurisprudence deals with determining the limits and boundaries of this field of knowledge and depends on various elements such as its subject and concepts. The scientific authority of the Holy Quran, meaning the meaningful influence of the Book of God on every structured body of knowledge, impacts the realm of the science of jurisprudence and, consequently, its subject and concepts. The aim of this article is to examine the scientific authority of the Quran regarding the subject of the science of jurisprudence in two areas: the scope of the subject and the scope of the obligated individuals (mukallafun), and jurisprudential concepts. This research is qualitative and fundamental in nature and has been conducted using a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through library and software resources, and an interpretive approach was used to understand the verses of the Holy Quran. In analyzing the data, the Quran's influence on the epistemic field of the science of jurisprudence was examined, utilizing the method of rational analysis with a second-order science approach. The findings indicate that jurisprudence and religious obligations are not limited solely to external physical acts (jawarihi); internal spiritual acts (jawanihi) are also among the actions of the obligated individuals. Regarding the scope of the obligated individuals, the most manifest reflection of the scientific authority of the Holy Quran is the expansion of the audience from the individual to society, structures, and organizations. In modern approaches and according to the scientific authority of the Holy Quran, jurisprudence does not only examine individual rulings but also addresses collective and organizational obligations, in a way that the realization of some rulings is only possible through the participation and coordination of different parts of society and its structures. In addition to the subject of the science of jurisprudence, the Holy Quran holds authority in creating diversity in jurisprudential concepts in three ways: creative (founding), confirmatory (endorsing without alteration), and reformative (endorsing with alteration).
