Abstract
One aspect of miracle of Quran is rhetorical aspect. In theoretical text, every word is individuated; every Quran word is chosen with precision, so that, no word could be replaced with any of other words; and in the case of replacement, not only the rhetoric but also the meaning or apart of meaning will be lost. This theory is “principle of non-synonymy in Quran”; the principle denies the being of synonym word in Quran.
Many of commentators believe “Makr” (guile) and “keid” (deception) are synonym. In this paper, these two words are examined. In this regard, first, the meaning of “Makr” would be examined then the meaning of “keid”; at the end, the similarity or difference between them would be clear.Whatever inferred to find the meaning of Quran wordsare the Quranic application of the words and their examples of the words in Quran. To elicit the Quranic applications of words have used the context of Quran verses. In fact, the meaning of Quran words is elicited from Quran; because perhaps a word has special meaning or concept in Quran apart from its literal, common, or traditional meanings. The major difference between these two words is“Makr” means plan to hit the opponent, and “keid” means practical action in this direction.
